What is Aerial Yoga?
Aerial yoga or anti-gravity yoga, is a form of yoga that utilizes a suspended hammock (or sling) to aid in the practice of yoga poses. The hammock supports the your body weight, allowing you to perform poses that might be difficult or impossible to achieve on the mat.
We’re committed to continuous learning and mentorship, empowering our instructors to refine their skills and innovate their teaching. This means that as you grow in your aerial practice, we’re right there with you—providing guidance, connection, and a community dedicated to your well-being.

Aerial Yoga Benefits
Enhanced flexibility, stability, and equilibrium. A study conducted in 2019 found that aerial athletes possess remarkable flexibility, balance, and strength (2 Trusted Source).
Pulling and joint relaxation. Being inverted and hanging upside down is believed to relieve pressure on the joints, which may become compressed over time from gravity and aging.
Decreased risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Although studies on this yoga style are scarce, the most-referenced research, performed in 2016 by the American Council on Exercise (ACE), revealed a notable decrease in the risk factors related to cardiovascular heart disease (3).
Mild to moderate intensity. The ACE-commissioned study also discovered that 50 minutes of aerial yoga can burn over 300 calories, categorizing it as low to moderate intensity exercise (3).
Enhanced mental well-being. A minor study observed considerable enhancements in stress and depression levels when individuals engaged in aerial arts out of a passion for movement. This appears to be especially promising for aerial yoga, which incorporates yogic principles and tends to be less competitive and more approachable than a circus-oriented or traditional acrobatics class (4).
